Setting up for our first "meet and greet" with prospective University of Michigan SI (School of Information) students!

WHO WE ARE

Once I overheard a couple students talking about the "catch-22" of job hunting: Students want to get experience but employers want students who have experience. While theories and research methods we observed in class are important, in order to be prepared for the industry we must learn to quickly ideate and collaborate while being mindful of real business constraints.

At Informative Gamers, we strive to take learning to the next level by providing workshops, design/research jams, and information sessions.

PAPER PROTOTYPING

Paper prototyping session where groups made their renditions of paper prototypes of their favorite games. The weight of the eraser was used to add difficulty, while the coke bottle was used to create an infinite level.

FACEBOOK DESIGN JAM

Game notifications are important for players but can be really intrusive to non-players. In this 3-hour design jam we tried to reimagine how game notifications work in Facebook that would improve the usability of Facebook.

Around 100 students participated and over 12 groups presented their solutions.
